Granting guitarists on any budget full access to that 5150 sound, EVH presents the more-affordable Iconic Series 5150 80-Watt-strong two-channel amplifier head. Fully kitted out to support guitarists during studio sessions and rehearsals as well as on stage, the power of this amp head can be toned down to just a quarter, still giving you that rich and mighty sound, just at a lower volume level. Behind it all lies a mighty pair of JJ 6L6 power amp valves and two 12Ax7 (JJ ECC83C) preamp valves.

Channel 1 shapes sparkling and defined cleans that can be given a sweet edge by hitting the Overdrive button, and Channel 2 gives you a legendary punching gain that can pushed even further by hitting the Burn button. Both channels have been equipped with a dedicated volume control, and for even more output, the Boost pot can be pushed up by a maximum of 10dBs. All of the functions can be toggled hands-free and in real-time using the included footswitch.

Tone-Chasing Options

A shared three-band EQ section has been lined up along the control panel for more detailed tone tweaking and is further refined by Presence and Resonance pots, and everything can be kept tight and clean of unwanted noise using the built-in Gate. This Iconic Series edition amp also offers built-in reverb; an effects loop; a speaker emulated XLR output to ensure consistent sound in any situation, and a Pre output for linking up an extra power amplifier.
